Stage 1 Tune Advice

I’d suggest against it. I had a 2016 A6 3.0 (same engine as yours) and I tuned it

After about a year it was time to sell it, and after removing the tune I thought I’d notice a huge difference in how “slow” it was.

But I didn’t.

In hindsight, sure it makes it a little faster, but it also puts more strain on a motor that is already supercharged and just by their nature of being forced induction, they are already pumping out more power than a naturally aspirated engine of the same size would.

Additionally, the engineers at Audi know what they were doing. If they thought the 3.0L could handle an additional 100 hp, which is about what a stage 1 will give you, then why did they use the 4.0 L in the S cars?

In my opinion you’re just shortening the life of your car. But if that doesn’t matter to you than I would just say skip stage 1 and go str8 to stage 2 and everything that goes with it (smaller pulley, bigger intercooler etc)
