My cat Pigeon had the highest Miao loudness/size ratio of any kitten! I played with almost every girl kitty in the shelter before her, already. I had gone in wanting a black fluffy girl, but the only one there was super, super skittish. Pigeon was in an enclosure with three litter mates, and the woman helping me kept grabbing the wrong kitten. Went something like this:

“This one?”

“No, the tiny loud as heck one!”

“THIS one?”

“No, the one in the back that won’t stop yelling!”

And then in the little room in the back, she ran around and played for a while, ate some kibble, and then let me pick her up, rolled over so her belly was up and let me pat it while she made air pancakes. And that was it. Now she yells at me in my house and doesn’t let me touch her belly. Should have known it was a scam.
