Fuck you name whatever country you're from that doesn't have its own tough conflicts. The crimes committed by the USA, Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, pretty much every country, make whatever supposed crimes Israel has committed look like a joke.
Just a few years ago, within all of our lifetimes, the USA experienced one terrorist attack where 3,000 people died and in response we went to war in two countries and killed over 100,000 people directly, some arguably up to 500,000 or more including indirect causes like marginal extra deaths from terrorism, crime, starvation, exposure, and disease that wouldn't have otherwise happened. And neither war was even directly related to 9/11. In comparison, Israel, proportional to their population, had the equivalent of a 9/11 at the beginning of the year 2000, and then another 9/11 every 4 months through 2005. If the USA had 9/11 followed up by additional 9/11 scale attacks every 4 months what would our reaction have been? Our muslims would be in internment camps and foreign muslims would be barred. There is no question.
The west thankfully did the right thing and gave weapons to the side that is trying to build a liberal democratic society with equality for all, within the constraints of legitimate safety concerns, that hopefully one day will be unneeded. We gave them weapons and they defended themselves and showed extreme restraint against constant attack from neighboring totalitarian states and the deadliest terrorism campaign in history from the palestinians. Many palestinians have tough lives but they are not in danger from Israel. They are not being indiscriminately killed. Israel is the most closely scrutinized country in the world. Inventing the next most preposterous and racist slander against Israel is a spectator sport across the arab world. Israel is the favorite destination for the ambitious-but-lazy-and-cowardly war reporter or self-righteous NGO worker because Israel's civil liberties and the very security programs they argue against allow them work out of a nice 5 star hotel on the beach, dine and party in trendy multicultural tel aviv, and then maybe the next day head out to the west bank to stage some sort of outrage.
In contrast, the east was already arming the arabs who have no notion of the value of life or of the laws of war, its just not part of their culture. It's not racist, people just don't have those notions there. If the west hadn't armed israel, the arabs would have slaughtered all the jews.
