Taken at the same timelimes, Diablo 2 is far better than D3. It isn't even really a question or debate imo, it's already been proven far as I'm concerned. The only reason Diablo 3 even became "ok/pretty decent" is because they've incrementally improved it over the course of nearly a decade. If they improved D2 incrementally over the course of a decade, it would be a universe better than D3. But I guess that's the thing. They didn't need to, as it was flawless/near perfect with 1.08, 1.09, and 1.10. They could have just done a D2 remaster/remake, at a fraction of the cost, and sold it to is for full price, and probably everyone would be happy. Now, I'm not gonna complain about D4 yet. It's too early. But don't pretend or act like D3 is anywhere on the level of D2 as an actual game. And this is someone with several thousands of hours in both games, (so I enjoyed both despite what it may seem like), so I'm not talking out my ass. It's just how it is.
