I am so terrified for my first beta tomorrow. We have never made it past the beta stage. I am 5w1d/19dp5dt.

I had a couple of instances of light pink discharge at 10dp5dt. I had a strong positive on 13dp5dt then another strong positive on 14dp5dt. My hospital doesn’t do betas, so I was just booked in for my first scan at 7w4d and midwife at 7w5d. I was shocked.

Because I had an earlier chemical last transfer, my family doctor has agreed to do betas. I have had waves of feeling generally unwell for the last few days: nausea, sore head, dizziness. Ive had to nap lots. I’ve also had waves of cramping (mainly around my ovary with cysts and an endometrioma). I had more severe cramping until 14dp5dt, but that’s settled down a bit and comes and goes.

We will get the results of beta number 1 on Tuesday and I’m beside myself with apprehension. I’ve had 2 betas before and they’ve never showed a rise in HCG or a healthy looking first beta. I just have an awful feeling the first one is going to come back sub-1000 or something.

What should I be aiming for as an ok first beta at 5w2d/18dp5dt? I know the doubling part is the most important though.
