⚡️Switzerland adopts EU's latest sanctions package against Russia, including coal embargo and financial measures

Oh my. You do know that part of those gold reserves were given to the allies as well, after the war, right? And you know those allies filled their accounts with jewelry, gold, coins and artwork themselfs, right? And you do know that Switzerland spent BILLIONS of what was given to them by the nazis, to rebuild germany, right? And you do know Switzerland invested BILLIONS of that money in Israel, right?

Nobody during or immediately after the second world war was a saint. It's easy to point your finger at your vulnerable neighbor to deflect from your own mistakes. If you don't believe in change and redemption, then lets just call Germany a bunch of dirty Nazis for the rest of our lifes. But this doesn't lead us anywhere.

Also, as far as I understand, Switzerland is an innovation hub (CERN, Google, ETH Zurich, the whole pharma-thing etc just to name a few) that produces A LOT of knowledge that gets used in all over the world. They spend their fortune on educating and research to benefit the rest of the world from. What else do they have? Nothing. But sure, call it a leech sucking europe dry. It's more flashy and probably gets you some cheap upvotes.

To live in your black and white-bubble must be wonderful. But reality isn't just that simple. There is black and white and a whooooollleee lot of grey inbetween. For every one, especially european countries.
