I volunteered at the morgue for 7 weeks. The diary of an artist who worked with the bodies of the dead in the Kyiv region

"During my time working in the morgue, I took many Instax pictures. And started working on creating a kind of book using these photos. In addition to photos, it will contain texts that I will type on a typewriter. In this project, I want to convey humanity's renewed attitude to death through war."

Jeez I don't know, volunteering, literally documenting every single day you've volunteered, an article where a close up of your face is prefaced with your lifestory followed by a bunch of photos in which younare standing in front of a pile of actual death people. Dead people photos which you will consequently use to create a nice little photobook.

I have been helping refugees in my country with access to housing, jobs and social services since the beginning. What If I took a selfie in front of a bunch of refugees, prefaced with my name and life story and a close up of my face. Then going to describe the day by day exhausting experience of doing my work?

Then, I am telling you I am gonna use all the refugee photos for a dandy little photo book with A TYPEWRITER. If you don't think it's atleast inappropriate we dissagree in this regard.
