Taken from our school's High Altitude Balloon

Sadly it's true. :\ My aunt didn't use regular balloons, they were these huge ones she ordered off amazon, they were about 3 feet wide so she didn't inflate too many from what I remember.

It was 3 summers ago, and it happened when I went to go visit her in Upstate New York, and I was mentioning to her that drones take amazing landscape photos from up above, but she's very traditional, so when I came by she had a set up of a helium tank and some smaller cameras she didn't care for anymore with gps so that she hopefully could find it later and show me the footage she caught via video, so she was building this very janky looking pouch for the camera and gps to hold into, and I had my doubts because it didn't make much sense. She's very traditional with her photography, she's pretty successful at it, but the whole idea was kind of stupid, but I went along with it.

Her older chihuahua dog had recently had a litter of puppies, and I jokingly put a small brown one into the pouch she had attached to some of the balloons and I held it firmly and we both were laughing at first, but then this very strong breeze tugged On the top of the balloons abruptly, and tugging it all out of my hands, and the rest happened so quickly. I'm not sure if the puppy leapt out or if it simply slipped out because the holder wasn't made very secure, or if the wind turned it upside down, but the puppy did come down. :( Even though it was a few years ago, my aunt still doesn't really talk to me except through very brief post replays on Facebook when I complement her photography...
