Come on now. He was a non-political person (who happened to have held a leadership position in a political organization) that was concerned because he got an extra ballot in the mail. He didn't even want to go to Washington and only did so at his wife's urging to keep an eye on their son and he decided to turn it into a fun father son trip.

When he told people they had to enter the capitol, it was an honest mistake. He thought it would be open to the public. And he was so eager to go watch Trump speak that he went out into the hours before Trunp started.

But he had to leave the Trump speech early and lead a crowd to the capitol because he's an old man and he was cold and wanted to get inside the capitol that he thought was open to the public.

At least that's what he said the second time he testified to the January 6th committee, after questions came up about why he was never arrested. We're supposed to celebrate the transparency from the January 6th committee for realeasong the transcript from his testimony and forget that the first time he testified is still sealed.

If Ray Epps is actually as innocent as he and the democrats claim I feel bad for the guy, but something smells pretty damn fishy.
