Tell Us About Your Game <92>

My almost minor big bad evil guy has quite the shopping list of wrong-doings that he did to the PCs. I think it's safe to explain a bit of plot spoilers. But just to be sure, if you are in the campaign "The First Era" on Roll20, these are some pretty hefty spoilers.

-He took the only friends dear to the Paladin whose been recently planeshifted from heaven, and session one managed to find him again and stole his soul.(He's still alive thanks to being an Aasimar.)

-The two fighters were brothers, and he ordered the assassination on their master who trained them from orphanage, in order to stop potential warriors who would go agaisnt him, since the master knew about his operations, and trained men from childhood specifically for this goal.

-The parents of the tiefling were killed in an act of arson in order to prevent a particular kind of magic to be into the world. However, he has full knowledge that he has the only scroll left in the world, and actively is looking for him.

-And lastly, he has an almost perverse obsession with the Wizard (The PC is a guy, and the player is a guy, and I asked his permission over it, and he accepted) because of his sylph heritage, as he has a connection with the plane of air.

Despite this, I'm going to take the impossible task of trying to make this guy sympathetic, and show all the good these actions have done, and give the PCs a chance to join up with this guy, as a pseudo evil campaign, Where the paladin is being held on the nose in the distant hope he get's his soul back. If he tries anything rash, he'll crush the soul right infront of his, gaining extra spells per day to boot (because he took the souls power and used it to fuel his magic)..

I feel like he's going to be the main villain, without being the main villain. Thoughts?
