Tempering Expectations

though we have disappointed losses

This part is totally meaningless. Golden State this year have lost to the Mavs, Clippers, and Pistons. The Raptors just lost to the Nets also on their home court.

No team is going to win every game. We've beaten good teams too.

We have problems is what I'm saying, but compared to the problems of the past, we should be fucking thrilled.

Well, you talked about the process and then you said that at the end. Umm... the whole point of the process is to not be fucking thrilled. When things don't work, you change it. That's what the process is. Its never ending. As much as we love Embiid and Simmons... even TJ and Jimmy at the moment... They only represent the 76'ers right now. This organization was here before them, it will here after them. If you are true fan of this team, you'd understand that we cannot be married any of these guys. If it ain't working, someones got to go until it does. Otherwise, we end up being a perennial 6-8 seed team - the exact reason why the team was blown up and the process started.

So no, the process isn't about being thrilled and having fun basketball games to watch with good guys we can root for. Its not about Emiid, its not about Ben, or Jimmy.

As much as his nickname implies, Embiid is NOT THE PROCESS. And I am not trying it imply anything about Embiid being a 76er at all. I think he is great, I think we can win one with him sometime in he next 3-5 years. I am simply saying - if we believe in the process, then we should not be content. The process isn't about getting to a place where team is popular and fans have something to do and we have lots of bandwagon hoppers. Its about winning. There should be zero content until that happens.

Now if you want to say sit back and enjoy the ride, then sure. But to say we should be fucking thrilled simply because we are better than off a few years ago? That's bull shit.
