Tbh even after the Boban trade (that’s 100% how it should be referred to as for obvious reasons) I thought we should’ve picked up Gortat. He’s a great locker room guy and still has a tiny bit left in the tank despite not being the guy he was in Washington. I just think he would be our most playable backup 5 in the playoffs and between Boban, Gortat and Bolden we’d have a couple of looks in our back pocket to fill time with Jo off the court. Gortat as a solid and smart player to sorta do what Amir did for us last year by slightly better and in a bigger body. Boban as a freak matchup in short spurts. And Bolden for a smaller, switch-ier, more spread option. But if I had to put money on it I’d guess we stand pat and try to figure things out for a couple games with Jonah, Amir, a little Ben/Mike Scott and maybe Patton gets a shot.
