Would you rather: the Sixers have a league average bench or the Sixers are league average in turnovers. Gimme your take.

You also have to take into account the lost opportunity on offense. Could be a ~13 point swing if you think about it in those terms (worst case scenario), and that’s against league average competition. The better way to factor would be to take the inverse score on an average possession, or ppp, multiplied by the turnover difference, plus the opponents points per multiplied by the difference. Even then your underselling it because some of those turnovers lead to fast breaks which have a much higher points per than a set offense. I’d much rather see our starters lower their turnovers, because come playoffs the bench won’t be as much of a factor, and those 6-10 point swings would win us games. We aren’t particularly good in close games and that why. We have a fairly stout defense when we’re set, but giving their offense extra possessions as well as easier fast break opportunities kills us.
