I tore mine 4 1/2 years ago. The first year after the tear I had consistent pain 5-7 days a week. Pain didnt really start to subside until about 20ish months. To this day, my tear isnt fully healed. I have less pain now and I don't really feel it very often. I'd say now I get some wrist pain every 3-4 weeks or so, and it usually goes away after a couple days.

The scale of pain is always all over the place too. Like today it's been bugging the shit out of me. I also do still get a light bearable pain anytime I twist my wrist fully. I never had the surgery done myslef mainly because I did some research prior to making my decision on it, and found it's not very successful for most people. I tried using a wrist brace for about a year if I was doing physical activities, but ended up getting rid of it cause it didn't help as much.

As far as time on heading goes, it seems to be different for everybody. I've heard of some healing within a year and for some it can take several years. Even then it seems like it never actually fully heals for most people.
