This was disturbingly common in the 70's and 80's. Being born in 76, I was right on the edge of everyone deciding that it was NOT OK, to date persons younger than 16, the age of consent in GA. You still saw men on their 20's preying on persons 14-18 with some regularity in the 90's, but by the time I was a teen they were getting the side eye, at least.

Accountability for allowing adults to interfere with minors, or accountability for actually doing so, has stopped there from being second generation discordians in the area. New and younger discordians can be found, but you don't see the kids from the original crew anywhere near the stuff.

Likewise, the children of members of the Unicorn Tradition, or Ravenwood, or other prominent NeoPagan groups of the time have largely split off and formed new groups if they remain religious.

It is easier to start new circles or groups than deal with the baggage of the old. Maybe this will change in time as some of the worst offenders and apologists pass and us kids move inexorably towards our 50's. But by in large the groups that would have been on the scene 1970-1999 are gone or remain only in that a few of the older members can grind through new recruits in a depressingly regular cycle.
