There's just a few things that bug me about the combat...

I'm a big fan of Robert Bresson's lancelot du lac. The sound and impact of people dying was subtle, and when they get hit, they just fall to the ground. That approach was more in line the filmmaker's style than anything else but what made it work for me was the huge amounts of blood pouring from inside their helmets. Basically emphasizing that under all that shiny equipment is a human body full of blood. Their death was only brought upon because of their egos, that they think they could win and that fighting, is actually a very daunting task.

I also feel like with all that equipment and how it's used, you're more likely to die from head trauma or you basically receive a massively severe concussion. You know... A impact head rather than a stab and some sort of Shakespearian soliloquy. But that's just my theory.

Anyways, I just think the game needs more blood. Like... Lots of it. Not because I'm blood hungry but because I want a kill to feel like a crime. A messy one that could have been avoided. I do like how they handle the issues you mentioned but maybe it's because I want something different, less rewarding for killing rampages, and more immersive in regards to doing the right thing or approaching a task in a more tactful / clever way.

But yeah, that's my two cents. I know I sound like a shill.
