Thoughts on Gathering Storm?

I purposely played as environmentally irresponsible as possible. I am now at Climate Change Phase 7 and while it's very cool watching some tiles become submerged in water- nothing really changed.

Food is 100% unaffected by the climate change, as is my population my crops and fisheries are doing just fine at 4.4+ Celcius from the ancient era, and to my knowledge no tiles have become more arid. I'd argue this is such an egregious oversight I'm curious why they didn't just use the new tech for natural flooding and weather and not include climate change.

Beyond the above mentioned flub, absolutely love the rest of it. The Civs are well done as are the non-climate mechanics. I'm very much enjoying the diplomacy system and the AI also seems to be largely improved. I saw smart placement of wonders and fast military reactions during emergencies. Also the polish pass is very noticeable even though I was fine with the visuals prior, now they're just downright gorgeous.
