Ehh idk about that. Davidson county has grown by about 125,000 since 2000. GWB lost Davidson county by about 10 points, Trump lost it by about 30. If you look at Georgia's voting patterns, the state gets bluer as Atlanta grows. If you look at Raleigh, NC, transplants turned the surrounding areas like Cary and Apex blue. Winning North Carolina has become a possibility for Democrats, just because of transplants.

There is no doubt Nashville would be a blue area for being a city, but the town used to be run by the Bill Clinton-type of Democrats, not liberals. There also wouldn't be such a contrast in how they vote compared to every county around it. The Nashville collar counties may be solid red, but Nashville will likely keep growing rapidly. They built the highway ring around it just like the one in Atlanta. Sadly, it's likely that Nashville will make TN have similar voting patterns to NC and GA. As a native Tennessean, I'm a little jealous of Alabama and Mississippi just because they don't have to share their state with transplants. Don't take Alabama for granted.
