Trying to open a Gaming lounge in Korea!

Make sure you get a firm understanding of the economics of a PC room as well. I handle the PC room licensing and contracts for a well known game company. You will basically be “leasing” access to most game servers on a per minute/hour basis. Expect the publishers to take a significant portion of whatever you charge per hour. In fact, food and beverages are basically the only way to profit. With some foreign and most local game companies, they actually have a business model for extracting as much money as possible from PC bang. Instead of paying for the software licenses once, you are on a perpetual rental/lease system with the licenses.

PC rooms are feeling the pinch right about now. CoD Black Ops IIII just set a new standard for hardware specs, and lots of PC rooms are struggling to run it, so it is time for upgrades.

Some PC rooms lease the PCs and those contacts come with free upgrades, but again, the lease eats into your profits, so you’ll need to sell lots of overpriced hot dogs and snacks. Anyhow, good luck with your venture. I’ve seen countless variations of PC rooms, including luxury high end ones that almost seem like private spa clubs.

One guy above mentioned hiring sexy girls to work in the PC room, but it has been tried before. It violates some sort of health code, or adult entertainment restriction.
