INTJ:

I don't really identify with any denomination, but I wouldn't go as far as to call myself "non-denominational", because I always associated that term as a term non-denominational Christians used to excuse any behavior occurring in non-denominational churches that contradict the bible. I digress, though. If there's any denomination I probably identify most with, it might be baptist or whatever denomination has more of a view of God as a heavenly father who also doubles as your boss, rather than a heavenly father who is just there to be your best friend and not give you any instructions on how to live your life. Being an INTJ, its only natural that I often feel put off by church communities that place the aesthetics and feelings of being in God's presence over discussion with fellow church members on topics such as theology, scripture, and biblical views on current social issues. I'm not saying either one's better than the other, but rather that having a personality like mine sort of makes church a bit difficult for me as most churches I've been to put too much emphasis on either wishy-washy feelings or too much focus on God's judgmental nature without crediting him as being compassionate. In short, it's a challenge, but it's a challenge I intend to solve. I'm not going to make like most INTJs with Christian backgrounds and give up due to peer pressure telling me I should be an atheist because my personality fits with that more. I'm not that gullible, nor am I that easy to manipulate or brainwash.

Sorry, that was long, but Christianity is a topic that gets me thinking a lot. That's probably why I don't plan on seeking other belief systems any time soon. Its too satisfying to give up.
