Okay, since no one is making the recent unnanounced update public, I have taken this task upon myself.
No one seems to know exactly when it happened, but interactions with Inala have felt different recently. Even some players who didn't know the exact changes still reported a feeling of unease and estrangement, and an analysis of all the changes we know so far seems to show that this is the intended effect.
This post will explain exactly the changes that were made. As to why Simple did this, it's hard to know for sure. Preparation for an upcoming area? Keeping up the illusion of a maintained game? Or just because he thought it would be funny to have us figuring it out? We can only guess at this point. If Simple wants to explain a bit in the comments, that'd be great.
