Finally decided to start creating a budget, realized I'm spending 2k a year on coffee

Great work man! Sounds like a great start.

Hey it could always be worse. I spend about that same amount on those 0 calorie Monster Ultra Energy Drinks. No way to make those at home, all I can do is buy at bulk online and get a good deal.

If you are trying to cut them out or make your own, more power to you. That said for little things like this the way I see it is if you enjoy it just let it ride man...

I know some people may be shaking their heads saying bad advice, but this is FI not living frugally. Is coffee or monster drinks the best way to spend 2k a year? Of course not. That said whats it worth to you?

If you really enjoy the drink like I do, if you look forward to it first sitting down at work in the am or after lunch, if you think it may just actually help keep you sane in this batshit crazy world.... You would prob be a worse mood without your coffee.

People spend way way more on way worse vices. If 5-6 bucks a day gives you a nice time out from work, something to look forward to, keeps you in a good mood and on point and focused. I say enjoy.
