TIL in 1933 America's most decorated Marine, General Smedley Butler, told the House of Representatives that wealthy businessmen tried to recruit him in a coup to overthrow President Roosevelt and install a fascist government.

Can someone enlighten me to how the primaries were "rigged?" I had discussions with lots of different people leading up to our state's primary and opinions on him were not as homogeneous as Reddit thinks they are. I know multiple people who didn't vote for him because they "didn't want higher taxes." People were also concerned about his lack of a concrete plan (his health plan in particular was still short a significant amount of money, even with his tax plan).

I felt the Bern like every other person in my demographic, but he just didn't have the votes. Hillary appeals more to the center and has the Clinton pedigree. Of course she won the primaries.

Don't get me wrong, Hillary definitely plays the game better and knows how to get votes, but I can't see how she rigged the election. If someone can actually give me some proof, I'd be open to changing my stance. But as of yet, I keep getting the vibe that people are just salty their candidate didn't win and are looking for any excuse to explain that.
