I’ve set the date! Just had to tell someone!

One method I've used several times in the past to ease a long wait like this (works for job changes too): divide your available vacation time evenly across the remaining weeks so that you can take 3-day weekends as often as possible. 244/7 = 35 weeks, so if you are so fortunate as to have accumulated 35 vacation days, you can take a 3-day weekend every single weekend between now and your end date. Don't forget to count additional vacation days that you will accrue between now and then!

Also, if you haven't already done so, now's the time to start saying "no" to the most annoying requests at your job, whether it's useless meetings, "emergency" fire drills, picking up the slack for lazy/incapable coworkers, etc.
