KIA is a little misleading considering that we are no longer hold lots of military bases in those countries. We left. To be fair to you I did bring it up, I guess 'not too bad' is subjective depending what you measure it with. I do think it is a lot harder to bash armed minorities.

The Brits admitted they could not beat the IRA militarily (https://extra.ie/2021/12/28/news/irish-news/british-prime-minister-john-major-ira). Which is probably more comparable in regards to comparisons (socially,ethnically etc).

My whole point is that we can look at lots of different conflicts where 'rednecks with ARs' have been effective. Ukraine is interesting but I am not as well versed in it nor have I ever been to Eastern Europe so it is a little out of my understanding.
