Yes. In new Mexico, it is unlawful to carry of a deadly weapon without a concealed carry permit, a misdemeanor. In my opinion, someone who is not licensed to conceal carry is not being a responsible owner when they are ignoring the law. I don't know how to answer that more directly.

I don't think I'm going to change your mind on anything. You've seem to dig in your heels defending Baca. I am not attacking you or your right to own a firearm and defend yourself. I am attacking Baca's decision to put himself in a dangerous situation while illegally armed. This is the type of gun owner I do not want in my country. I prefer those that follow the law, do not instigate, and only use a firearm as a last resort to defend themselves and their property.
