Why Virginia teachers are leaving, and how they might be convinced to stay

Sorry, but the pay is what you get as a public servant. You don't go into it expecting to come out equally or above anyone in the private sector. That's literally what public servitude is about. What teachers need is to have the resources to do their jobs. Its one thing to get paid and have all the resources you need but maybe not the pay you think might be enough, but it's wholly different thing to be paid to do something and not ever accomplish the goal of the job because your employer won't give you the resources to do the bare minimum.

Sorta like working in a car factory but only being given enough parts to build a chasis, yet being expected to build a technical masterpiece. It just can't be done, no matter how good the pay is.
