As of today, do audio interfaces and usb microphones work with safari on iPadOS 15?

I’m aware you can use audio interfaces and usb mics with iOS for a long time. I have an iPad mini 2, audient evo4 and a zoom h5 and both worked with an lightning-usb adapter. It can record on every app but safari. I’ve recorded on GarageBand and voice recorder without issues, but never got it to work on safari. It even lets me select other audio sources, but always reverts back to the internal microphone.

I work as a voice actor and most of my recordings are recorded remotely through websites. That’s the only reason for keeping my very very old 2011 MacBook Pro.

I wish I can replace it with an iPad Air but only if I can make it recognize audio from external inputs on its web browser.

Does anyone know if you can get usb c audio input for safari (or any browser) working on recent versions of iPados?
