What does everyone think about these lyrics I wrote?

A Name For All Trades.

beaten and broke it was a life or two back, this fellow I knew, this man called Jack.

he fell hard against the wind, right out of the grave, the life of a martyr, the life of a slave, he worked his whole life but he never got paid.

jack worked constrution, jack tended a bar, jack made nikels driving a taxi car, jack even did some things he swore he'd be taken to his grave.

a name for all trades, a name for all trades, no, john henry ain't got nothing on you.

yeah everybody in town knew the bosses never paid jack like they should, yeah everybody knew jack was the one workingest man around.

so jack did his chores,, in the end jack settled the scores, and one day jack just upd and walked out the door.

he fell hard against the wind, right out of the grave, the life of a martyr, the life of a slave, he worked his whole life but he never got paid.

and when the wind withdrew, on one solemn night, he arched his back, stood up and raged against the dying of the light, he packed a bag and hopped a train heading clear out of town.

now the mornings dawned, and my dear jack is gone, but still here i stand singing his song, for this love of mine, for this man called Jack

a name for all trades, a name for all trades, no, john henry ain't got nothing on you.
