I just got home from Ulta where I returned a Christmas purchase of Ecotools brushes that didn't ship in time for gifting. I used that money, plus they applied the 20% off coupon that I had used for the original purchase, to buy my replacement Revlon Colorstay foundation, face blotting sheets for my purse, and the NYX lip primer in Nude. Lip primer is on my original "okay to buy during my low buy" list, but I had planned on a Mac one. I read really good things about the NYX one and decided to try it first, since it is $10 less than the Mac.
I had a slip up. I ordered multiple samples of Meow Cosmetics foundation in different colors and undertones to satisfy my curiosity both about the product and about my undertone, since I have never been able to figure that out. I read so many great reviews. I'm hoping it will be an okay purchase in the end, and I don't feel too awful about it since I'm really concerned about curbing my purchases of color cosmetics, but it was not on my buying schedule. I don't know if I'll give myself to permission to buy a full size if one of them does work for me. Ugh. I don't know. Next time I'll do a TMO, but at least I won't be out too much money on this one as it's just $1.00 sample baggies.
My project pan on lipsticks is going really well, in that I have thrown away four additional lip creams/glosses that I couldn't stand putting on my lips. I put them on and had to wipe off immediately. I don't know if they were too old or I've just grown away from the formulas, but yuck, they grossed me out. I'm still working on a few more that's I'd like to make some progress on by April.
