[Weekly thread] Your end of the week rants and raves!

I feel like I've finally hit my last straw with pharmacy.

I work in hospital, have 10 years of experience. Been with the same system for 5. I am a tech 3 based on my competencies. And for the most part I work independently. I have now applied to buyer and pyxis/narc tech positions 3 times but get stuck in ER.

My direct manager claims he wants me in a lead tech position but each and every time I am passed for someone who has little to no experience in a pharmacy only for the fact that they have a bachelor degree. I have an associate and am in school to finish my bachelor.

I come to work every day and I genuinely love compliance. I bring up ideas often to my management how we could improve workflow, and am in 3 committees. While I get verbal OKs to move forward on most progect ideas I get NO support with other pharmacists or techs to implement.

The people who've been here forever get angry when change is presented and everyone backs down and I am the only one that will stand up to them. Even management cowers when they throw a tizzy.

Just mad and now I feel mildly better.
