I think... we were given Sara's motive

Again, opinions. Depression is what Melissa suffers.

I don't see anything that redeems Jason, he has no redeeming quality. He doesn't do any of the normal things that Toby, Mona, and even Ezra does. Doesn't listen to music, doesn't play an instrument, doesn't have friends, doesn't date, etc. He doesn't enjoy anything. He just seems as empty as a piece of a paper, soulless.

We are constantly introduced to side characters with interests, hell, even A has loads of interests and things that it does just for the pleasure of it. Sociopaths don't enjoy the simple things in life.

Even Alison took pity on Pepe, but Jason doesn't take pity on anyone. He doesn't come over and give you a shoulder to cry on, he doesn't come share a beer, doesn't bring you brownies like Dean, the guy who met Spencer twice, did.

Perspective is everything, and Jason wrote "NAT Forever" on Ian's yearbook. So he wasn't just an innocent victim of his friends manipulating him.

He's exactly everything that the Liars considered Alison to be, they just perceive him as a victim.

Jenna, that's another story. Jenna is also a very troubling person who gets away with everything. Like Jason, she's connected to everything that has happened but tends to play the innocent victim card as well.

Rape isn't an accident, and the Liars never cared enough for Toby to give him the video. With that video, he could have shown his parents what Jenna was. You know how hard it is to proof a woman is abusing a man? The Liars had the key to set him free and they chose to care solely about themselves.

See? Perspective. Toby is now obligated by his parents to see Jenna everytime she beckons because he can't really proof anything.
