We've all been there at some point. The world could use more people like Reaping Lancer :)

Why is it my fault for not contributing 200 DPS, when the game is designed around just the DPS doing the needed damage?

Because 1% wipes on progression are real regardless of how much it's joked about like a myth, and content with hard enrages also expect your DPS to be alive to be contributing. Not to mention that in 3.0 progression as DPS, you can easily lose your stacks/botd/enochian/etc. to dying to mechanics or a phase shift. This means you lose out on a couple hundred potency (hint hint 200 dps) until that timer comes up like 15-30 seconds. Is it their responsibility in time to learn how to time that shit and stay alive? Definitely, but if you have healing under control and can afford that extra 200 DPS to push to the next phase and see farther, why the hell not?

(Also sometimes you just gotta accept the fate of being the carry for the sake of the clear even if you're bitter about 1-2 dead weights.)

Why is it my fault for not contributing 200 DPS, when the game is designed around just the DPS doing the needed damage? Why do I have to work twice as hard as any other player to do all the healing just for a small fraction of the DPS, when the Monk is just spamming bootshine? From a flanking position.

  1. Votekick the Monk. 2. If they aren't votekicked, just leave and do something else. 3. Assuming people aren't just doing this incredibly specific scenario, they also are trying their hearts out but maybe just don't know how to optimize it. 4. I dunno this comment in general personally rubs me the wrong way considering my hands and wrists cramp from squeezing out every single number DRG during progression, yet we'll still hit hard enrage.
