What account setup do YOU have for joint finances with a spouse?

We've been married for about a year. Once we bought a house about 6 months ago, we decided to actually combine our banking. My husband didn't really care, and I deal with most of the finances. We turned my chequing account into the joint "household" account. We both deposit our pay there, and pay the mortgage and all joint bills there (food, hydro etc). We automatically transfer individual "fun money" to separate no fee accounts on the 1st of every month, which covers all individual expenses (i.e. I saved mine up and visited a friend in NYC, he buys fancy scotch). There was a bit of a learning period about what counts as "household" and what is "individual" (i.e. a splurge uber ride home from the bar is individual, but monthly transit pass is household).

Because we travel frequently, we like having accounts at separate financial institutions, in case there's an issue withdrawing money in a country (in September, I could withdraw cash in Zambia, but only he could get an ATM in Zimbabwe to work). This makes our banking look complicated as we have 8 accounts across 4 institutions, but I we use YNAB to track everything on a weekly basis.
