What are some of your worst experiences during the job hunt?

  • I’ve had someone ask me “what color is your brain?” And how did I know that? When asking questions about your spirit animals was a thing.

  • Traveled an hour for an interview and at the end being told that I don’t have experience because I didn’t work in a completely unrelated industry.

*Being asked how old I was at a job fair.

*Cattle called at a job fair, I’m being timed 30 seconds to tell them why I’m qualified with people waiting in a line behind me.

*Interviewer asking me what my husband and boss would think if I decided to work for them.

*A lot of recruiters calling me with out reading my resume to tell me I’m not qualified.

*Flew me to NY to cancel the interview that morning.

*Not getting back to me when I personally know and see you regularly. All you literally have to say is “hey were working on it, I’ll follow up with you”.

*Being hit on during an interview and not getting called back because I wasn’t interested.

I didn’t think at the time, I could contact an HR department and tell them this was going on.
