What can KFC do/add to become popular among college students?

Let me tell you about my most recent experiences eating KFC.

About a year ago I bought KFC for my GF and I for dinner. When I eat KFC I like to get good ol fried chicken. I hate the idea of double downs, bowkls and other disgusting nonsense they offer. To me things like the double down bring the entire image of KFC down to a joke of a restaurant. But anyway back to my experience, I got a family bucket, mashed potatoes and biscuits. Everything was prepared fast in about 5-10 minutes and I was out the door with my food in no time. But its a good thing I wasn't dinning in because the inside of the KFC was a hell hole. There were used napkins on the ground, un-wiped tables with chicken bits stuck to them, unwashed windows. I got the chicken home expecting crispy fried chicken, fluffy potatoes and flavorful biscuits. NOPE. Greasy as hell chicken, so greasy it was dripping with oil and oil exploded on your face when you bit into it. Bleh I moved on to the potatoes...Runny as fuck. You can't even use a fork with KFC potatoes because they are so runny they slip right through the cracks. So I ate my potato soup and gravy. Then I moved on the the biscuit, it was stale, cold and tasted like it had been made from cardboard. I was upset and vowed never to eat KFC again.

A week ago I was craving fried chicken and instead of going with my instinct and going to the grocery store for fried chicken I instead went back to KFC. I figured maybe it was just the location and I had bad luck. NOPE. This KFC was connected to a taco bell and once again dirty as fuck. This time I got extra crispy 3 piece combo, potatoes and a biscuit. And it was basically the same as the last time a year ago. Runny water potatoes, bland biscuit and chicken dripping with grease.

When I go to the grocery store to get this same meal its cheaper, higher quality and just as convenient. I don't understand why KFC is still open. The should have gone the way of the dinosaur years ago with quality and cleanliness like that.
