What did your job want you to hide from customers?

I worked as a carpenter and my boss hit the outside trim of a vinyl window and busted it. It was in a corner they would probably never really look at. Even looking strait at it, you couldnt see it w/o really looking for it, so he left it. I specifically told him "They are going to come out and check out all the work we did and they might see it." He didnt care.

Next day first thing in the morning I get there and I hear the client and my boss talking, and I heard him telling them that I must have broke it and not told him and that he would take care of it. I walked into the room and just stared at him, he knew I heard. And I said "I dont know what happened to the window. You installed it, not me." And I walked out.

He came up to me after, obviously pissed, and accused me of telling the client. I didnt, but probably should have. He said something about me finding a new job as he walked off. He left for a different job and I stayed at that house and worked the rest of the day. Later that night he called and apologized because his wife reamed him a new one for being a piece of shit.
