What doesn't impress you anymore?

Tattoos. I was fascinated by tattoos as a kid, to the point of even applying asking for apprenticeships at 16 (rejected). I looked at so many tattoo magazines and websites and then after a while it all became repetitive. Everyone had the same shit and very few people were doing anything creative.

The people I saw with tattoos also pissed me off. It sucked to see pictures of amazing backpieces on some guy that had the physique of a chicken-mcnugget. Rolls everywhere, may as well have been a mural on the side of a bakery. Then you see the people with these hard-ass tattoos and they’re the type that can’t meet your gaze and just mumble.

Now you see the baristas and hipsters with tattoos and goddammit they just have such punchable faces. Why do you have flaming skulls on your knuckles if you’re some pudgy dude who steams milk and draws flowers in cups for a living? And their stupid ironic tattoos. “Oh it’s in braille? Good for you.” Also, those hipster bodies. (As an aside, if your thing is pasty girls in floral dresses with no muscle tone and crappy tattoos then take the G-train in NYC)

I have seen some stunning tattoos. Some that have floored me for their sheer intricacy, other for their delicate simplicity, but tattooing as a whole doesn’t impress me as it once did. Having a tattoo, much less so because I realized anyone can buy one. (Yeah, I dunno I guess I figured you had to fight a wolf or something to earn one.)

Also, yeah I hate hipsters, so what? I also love hipsters - this much blind, passionate hate can’t come unaccompanied by passionate love (here’s looking at you pasty girls in floral dresses with no muscle tone and crappy tattoos with punchable faces).
