What fact blows your mind everytime?

I am one of those children (I am 16). Hello! All of time, as far as I can remember it, has been post-9/11, for me. We like to jest that we were in our cribs, enjoying our pacifiers when the towers were hit, or at least those of us that I regularly hang out with. It's honestly so weird for us to see you all experience the revelation that we can't remember it. I have had several teachers who have just stopped class entirely to think about that, given they were first year teachers. I find it more interesting that we have this dynamic that I wasn't there, and it's hard for you to grasp, and you find it weird, which I find hard to grasp. I mean, yeah, I was a baby, I sort of figured you'd all be more aware of it than you are. I guess I do have something to compare it to, given that it only recently dawned on me that my father was born 7~ years after the civil rights movement, and my grandparents had been married for quite some time before that. I find that so astonishing, that it could be that recent. For all of you teachers out there, try and put into perspective how recent that movement was to your students, because mine did one heck of a job convincing me that it was a century or so a go, and I know I am not alone in that.
