My bus was weird. My freshman year our bus driver didn't give a shit about anything we did. After school all the buses were lined up next to each other in front of the school for the kids to get on and as we were leaving, we'd throw shit through the windows and into/through the windows of the buses we passed like a weird ship-to-ship battering.

Next year though, we got a new bus driver. Albert. Things changed man. Albert hated us, and we kinda deserved it. We would yell out marry/fuck/kill questions to him and they always included either his wife and/or another teacher/staff member from school. At one point, there were so many people on the bus that about half-way into his route there would be no more seats and he'd spend the rest of the trip yelling at whoever was standing until they sat on the floor. Some kids were once passing around someone's fucked up peanut-butter sandwich calling it 'peanut-butter kush' and making weed jokes and he reported us saying we were passing drugs around.

One time, on our way home from school, he got so pissed at us that he went off route to bring us back to school. He didn't radio this in or anything though and that was abhorrent to us (we considered it being against what he's allowed to do). The second he told us that and turned off the route there was a huge uproar. People were calling their parents, friends, jobs. iirc I called my mom and the only thing I said was "Mom, Albert's being a dildo!". One guy I knew actually got neighbors and family friends to call the school or bus company to complain as well about this.

but yeah man, riding the bus was weird.
