As opposed to republicans who just spend. Conservatives want a balanced budget. Clinton did that. Obama reduced the deficit by $1 trillion through 2015. The Republicans added trillions in a few years. Not conservative.

free college,

There is a complete correlation between college and lifetime earnings. Education provides economic freedom. Republicans hate education and therefore freedom. Conservatives do not.

and abortion

Republicans want the government to grow to the size where it's big enough to get involved in medical advise. Conservatives don't want that.

Democrats are far closer to conservative values than republicans are, and I just proved it.
