The Democrats on The Hill think these are bad optics for the Republicans because their lovers in the media, people like Don Le-Mon, will narrate over the images with claims this was all necessary to stop a hostile coup by the Deplorables. But few will buy that jive talk. This is actually horrible optics for the Democrats. It really makes it look like this was a hostile takeover. I believe in the right to protest peacefully and all of that, but I feel strongly that the loudest message will be sent will completely empty streets, devoid of regular citizens. That’s the right strategy and it also will go a long way to diffuse the efforts of Lefy agitators and the dummies who would follow their lead.
