What do people often underestimate?

What are you trying to prove here? If you'd read the wiki article you linked you'd have noticed the article cites that many studies do not control for socioeconomic status and/or are funded by groups with a racist agenda.

The problem is that none of the politically driven, left-wing explanations, such as socioeconomic status or cultural biases, are supported by any facts or data. There is, in fact, very little data on the issue as leftist academia has refused to support funding to study the issue for the past 40 years. The only real data that exists are the Minnesota Transracial Adoption Studies, which suggest that while environment and cultural factors play a role, genetics does too (and still quite a large one).

Similarly, people level politically driven criticisms at those studies, claiming that there are too many "confounding variables" for them to be valid. But A) It remains the only real data on the subject and B) Nobody has ever been able to point to an actual confounding variable that would explain the flat out massive differences between the races that were found, even when cultural and economic factors were accounted for.

Go ahead, do some searching if you want and find the supposed factors that left-wingers claim invalidate the study, I'll tell you why they're not true.

Sadly, you can't look at wikipedia and say "well some people claim and have theories about why that is" and just believe it. Under scrutiny, none of those arguments hold up.

Show me where the data is that proves these claims of socioeconomic status being the cause.

Also remember that you can't just label somebody as having a "racist" agenda to disprove their work. This is a common tactic of the left and people have wisened up to it. They shut down all reasonable and dissident discussion with words like "racist", "bigoted" or "sexist".

Well, it's not a real argument. You have to show me where the methodology / data is wrong if you want to discredit a study. Not tell me that you think the people doing it were racist.

And frankly, if you're weak minded enough to believe stuff like that that you read on wikipedia, I frankly doubt you're going to have the mental fortitude to wade through the murky waters of political correctness and propaganda in order to find the truth to begin with.
