What questions do you ask yourself to be introspective?

What are some questions you asked yourself when you were applying to craft your narrative?

  1. Do I want to stay within the same industry? I always wanted to but found a certain vertical I want to stay in and found schools strong in it.
  2. What function do I want? I wanted to get more finance/strategy exposure. Currently work in an operational role and wanted out.
  3. Would consulting/IB make sense post MBA prior to jumping back into the corporate world? As of now, not too interested in consulting. But I am intrigued by the financial skillset I can develop in IB covering companies in my current industry (highly levered, low margin/high cost types of businesses). Highly valued skillset since very few have a strong background in it. Hugh lack of talent. For this reason, I didn't want to go to any school beyond T25.

This took me over a year to come to this type of realization. Much more to it but that's the general gist.
