Prospective MBA students: please share the cringiest things people have done/asked during school info sessions

I was on a Yale SOM Zoom call with a senior adcom and 5 other applicants. The invite said “dress code: business casual” so I just wore what I usually do at work - a dress shirt and open blazer. Senior adcom also wore a suit jacket. All 5 other applicants were in patterned tees or tank tops. I kinda felt out of place and thought I missed a memo or something. But then the whole session no one else was talking except for me and the adcom (I even shut up several times and asked if anyone wanted to jump in, just in case I was hogging the mic or something). Nope. Several of them didn’t even look up from their phones. The only other person that talked went on about “well I took this class my sophomore year of college, will that help me get in?”

Really changed my understanding of the standard applicant base lol.
