I’m demonstrating on how you could come up with that answer if you think in that dimension. It doesn’t matter if the way of breaking it down is considered right or wrong. It’s a puzzle that could be thought of in multiple ways and at the end you choose what is plausible. C logic isn’t accurate in my point of view because i think the top line in the second image is the same line as the first image (it just shifts upwards) and it adds 1 line at the bottom. Someone else might not see that or dismiss it and get the answer wrong, since it’s more creative than just logically counting the lines as something completely new and coming up with C.
