What’s a family secret you didn’t get told until you were older that made things finally make sense?

Im an adult survivor of rape, and was emotionally abused as a child by my alchoholic father. I cannot stress the importance of humor to cope for a lot of people, and have used writing an animated series as an outlet for all the sorrow, hopes, dreams, philosophy, psychology that I've experienced. I get worried at how sensitive people are becoming, because Im worried about what I can get away with (I like to think I don't have to sensor my art just for a loud minority)

I dont mean normalizing it in any way, but I'm glad that there are people who can understand how very very important humor can be in letting go,and it's all on an individual basis. No one person or group of people can ever speak for the whole of humanity.

Stay strong, fellow human. We are survivors, not victims!
