what should men be allowed to do without being judged?

I teach in private education and one of my classes has really taken a liking to me/my classes. I teach middle school/high school students. They recently asked me, if their parents were cool with it, that I take them/supervise a trip on a weekend to a local amusement park.

I'd love to take these kids on a trip as a reward for their hard work and dedication to their studies. Just let them have a day of fun. But I know I couldn't do it. The chances of something bad happening because I'm a grown man with children, even at that age, is just far too great of a risk.

It felt really shitty to have to explain to them that I couldn't take them, regardless of what their parents might say regarding permissions.

I feel like even in public education if a school/grade-wide trip went to somewhere and a male teacher tagged along with a group as a supervisor it's become too risky.

Men aren't respected/trusted with their own children, let alone other people's children. It's becoming increasingly difficult for men to find peace in their own classroom, god forbid we ever left the classroom.
