I am going to try to explain this, but forgive me if it seems weird, as the experience itself was much weirder.

I used to live very close to the ocean. There was this one abandoned house lot that the old owners had built this magnificent rock staircase that went down to the water - I called it the lord of the rings steps - and I used to go there to think when I was a teenager and had teenager problems to think about. Anyway. So I am down there one evening, and the sky was pretty clear, nothing particularly unusual, when this fucking SWARM of seagles amassed itself over top of me. Like, I could hardly see the sky anymore, it was insane. Then they started swirling, as the wind picked up viciously - they swirled to the point that they looked like a funnel. And a funnel came down to the ocean, and I saw a water spout in British Columbia. I felt like I was losing my mind. Right after this happened, it started to hail insanely, like I can't-see-in-front-of-me kind of hail. I ran back home and ended up soaked and terrified. The hail stopped pretty soon after I got in the door, and no one else had mentioned seeing anything like that
