What is your most interesting or wildest tailgating moment?

At the Pats game in Buffalo this year - my girlfriend is a heathen Pats fan and wore her old Welker jersey to the game. After they won we started walking back towards ECC where our car was, shouting insults all the while. Some way too loaded Bills fans (2 guys and 1 girl) were harassing both of us (not cool either way, but I was in a Jackson jersey ffs) for being Pats fans and were following us the whole way back to ECC. Figured they'd eventually just back off when they found their car but they followed us all the way to my car in the back corner of the far lot. We weren't the only people/only car there, but the crowd was dwindling. Note up until this point they were just being typical drunk morons and I didn't think much of it until we were nearing my car and the girl said "we could totally kill them and get away with it, no one would know or even care".

At that point fight or flight kicked in since they kept walking towards my car, clearly not backing down. Not sure if they were serious but I had my EDC knife on me which I whipped out (which somehow never got flagged when I went into the stadium, I totally forgot I had it on me in the first place and security never noticed). Before things got too serious, luckily an undercover cop (kind of - wasn't in uniform but was clearly a cop) happened to witness most if not all of the incident and jumped in. The cop ripped them a new asshole and detained them there. My girlfriend and I told him we weren't really interested in pressing charges of any kind, so we were told that we could leave. After calling for assistance, the cops pretty much just told us they were going to take the situation from there and told us to have a safe drive home.

As someone who goes to 2 or so home games a year and has for a decade, that was freaking insane. I've had plenty of weird experiences at the Ralph but never something that straight up made me feel unsafe. If I felt threatened sooner I totally would have called the cops or walked towards where I know the police usually are, but the morons escalated from stupid insults to "we could kill them" fairly quickly when I was near my car already.
